Jacksonville Plays Catch-up on Climate Change
View Date:2024-12-24 03:33:50
JACKSONVILLE, Florida—This city of nearly a million people lags behind other Florida cities working to brace for climate change and its threats, such as rising seas, more dangerous hurricanes and flooding.
However, there are signs that the region is starting to take climate change more seriously. The interviews are part of a regional collaboration with InsideClimate News called “Caught Off Guard: Southeast Struggles with Climate Change.”
